- . The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality educational services to special education students and collaborates with school staff to support student success through individualized instruction and program implementation.

- Key Responsibilities
- + Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
+ Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
+ Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and support teams.
+ Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs.
+ Support students with significant cognitive delays and communication challenges.
+ Supervise and collaborate with instructional assistants within the classroom.
+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Preferred Experience
- + Experience working with non-verbal students. + Experience supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities. + Ability to modify curriculum and differentiate instruction. + Experience leading and collaborating with multiple instructional assistants. + Strong classroom management and team leadership skills.
- Minimum Requirements
- + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
+ Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.
+ Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred.
+ Special Education Teaching Certification preferred.
+ Complies with all professional standards of practice.
+ Current CPR certification if applicable.
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Minimum Requirements:
- + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations + Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred + State Teacher Certification;
