- About the Role
- Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides quality educational services to students in grades K-12. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized instruction, collaborating with general education staff, participating in IEP planning, and supporting student success through specialized educational strategies.
- Assignment Details
- + McNary Developmental Learning Classroom + Caseload approximately 13-18 students + Experience with non-verbal students and significant cognitive delays preferred + Modify curriculum to meet individual student needs + Lead and collaborate with a team of 5-7 Instructional Assistants + Medium behavioral support level + Level 2 medical support environment
- Minimum Requirements
- + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred + Valid Oregon teaching certification or appropriate state certification + Special Education endorsement preferred + Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred + Knowledge of IEP development and implementation + Current CPR certification if required + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age •Interested?

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
- Minimum Requirements:
- + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations + Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred + State Teacher Certification;
