9644328-19460 Job Description Begin your next contract assignment as an elementary-level special education teacher supporting students near Phoenixville, PA. This opportunity is ideal for dedicated educators passionate about making a difference in young learners' lives. Positions are available in Life Skills, Autistic Support, and Learning Support (with the chance to work across two buildings). Youll partner with a collaborative school team to create meaningful, individualized learning experiences for students with diverse needs.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate required. Experience in Life Skills, Autistic Support, and/or Learning Support settings preferred. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation. Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet varying educational needs. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Excellent communication and organization skills. Previous elementary special education experience highly valued.
Responsibilities:
Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with students IEP goals. Implement effective classroom management strategies tailored to individual and group needs. Provide academic and behavioral support in Life Skills, Autistic Support, or Learning Support programs. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote inclusion. Track and report student progress, participating actively in IEP meetings and data collection. Communicate regularly with families to share updates and strategies for student success. Support students both individually and in small groups, adapting materials and activities as needed.
