Overview Reimagine Education, LLC is a privately-owned management company for Michigan International Prep School, a publicly funded Cyber Charter School. That's why we create a unique learning pathway for every MIPS learner, built around their talents, interests, location, and schedule. Students are first in our school. Position Description Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an innovative Technology/STEM Teacher to join Michigan International Prep School. The Technology/STEM Teacher will develop and teach the course. The goal of the course is to equip elementary students with essential computer literacy and technical proficiency, while simultaneously fostering critical thinking through STEM-focused problem-solving methodologies. This position will report directly to the Elementary Principal. Qualifications
    Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate Preferred:
    Computer Science (NR) Educational Technology (NP)
    • Must develop genuine and positive relationships with students/families/staff
    • Ability to maximize technology for effective communication with students, staff, and parents
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once in an effective manner
    • Works well with a team
    • Very strong customer service skills and a strong communicator
    • Maintain a positive "can-do" attitude
    • Face challenges with a focus on creating a better educational model for our students
    • Be a self-starter and an independent thinker
    • Technological skills, computer knowledge, and ability to rapidly adapt to new technology (Chrome, Google, etc.
    ) Essential Duties Course Development Follow the Michigan Computer Science Standards to Design Lessons for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Lessons will include asynchronous lessons and activities as well as live lesson instruction. Build the Course Into Buzz Participate in professional development to stay current with educational technology and STEAM trends. Teaching Responsibilities Host weekly live lessons for each grade level. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance. Complete report cards at the end of grading cycles Integrate project-based learning, hands-on digital activities, and real-world problem-solving into instruction. Utilize online learning platforms and digital tools to create an engaging, inclusive classroom experience. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and participation. Participate in professional development to stay current with educational technology and STEAM trends.
