Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will directly support learners in need of individualized instruction, especially those requiring homebound teaching. This unique opportunity allows you to make a significant impact while enjoying a regular, manageable schedule—three hours per day, three times a week.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching license in Rhode Island (required) Previous experience providing instruction in special education settings (preferred) Strong skills in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Experience working with homebound students is a plus Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to homebound students in accordance with IEP goals Adapt curriculum and teaching methods based on students' individual needs and abilities Monitor and track student progress, keeping clear and effective records Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff to ensure optimal student growth Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging educational environment in the home setting This contract position offers you a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference for students who require individualized care and support.
