Technic has an open position for a full time machinist with ProtoTRAK- Mill / Lathe experience. 5+ years of experience operating 2 and 3 axis Proto TRAK / mills and lathes. Key Responsibilities

• Program, set-up and operate ProtoTRAK Mill and Proto TRAK lathe machines with MX and A.G.E. controls.
• Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of parts to determine optimum machining processes for the entire scope of the manufacturing of a given part.
• Determining speeds and feeds for various materials such as 316 ss, 304 ss, brass, aluminum, steel and a variety plastics.
• Must perform routine maintenance on assigned production equipment, i.e. maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery, and check machinery fluids and alert supervisor of malfunctions.
• Able to use and interpret precision measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, and various hand tools to verify the accuracy of dimensional characteristics of component
• Hold machining tolerances of +-.005.
• Maintain a safe work environment for you and your fellow associates.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Flexibility with varying workloads. (Quantities of 1-10 with quick turnaround time)
• Be Self-driven/positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills (saving program info)
• Machinists must have good verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Must work well with colleagues, supervision and management.
