Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in special education to a welcoming school environment and make a meaningful impact on young learners. This contract opportunity centers on supporting early childhood students and children with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, with an anticipated start as soon as possible and continuing through late May 2027. Work closely with students aged 3-4 in an Early Childhood PCD classroom, as well as K-3 students in a self-contained classroom setting. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week onsite.
Required Qualifications and Certifications:
Active South Carolina Teaching License Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification (for EC PCD Teacher role, 3-4 years) Special Education Multi-Categorical endorsement (for ID Mild/Moderate Self-contained K-3 role) Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings Strong classroom management and communication skills Dedication to supporting a range of developmental and educational needs
