9654783-29169 Job Description Play a crucial role in fostering a supportive learning environment for middle school students by joining as a Special Education Teacher focused on behavior support. This opportunity allows you to develop meaningful relationships with students aged 1114 at a single school site. You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a contract position that starts as soon as possible and extends through May 2027 or with contract-end notice.

Qualifications:

Hold valid Teacher Certification in Multicategorical/ED Experience working with middle school students, especially those requiring behavioral and academic support Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to effectively manage and individualize strategies for caseloads of 510 students Knowledge of applicable special education laws and best practices

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as Special Education Case Manager for a group of students, advocating for their unique behavioral and educational needs Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans Maintain consistent documentation and communication with parents, staff, and administrators Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusion and support achievement Foster a positive, empathetic classroom environment tailored to students strengths and challenges
