This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through November, with the potential for an extended assignment. Youll play a crucial role in empowering 29 students to reach their fullest potential within an inclusive school environment near Keller, TX.

Key Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) is required Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents who are deaf or hard of hearing Proficiency in sign language is highly preferred Ability to adapt instruction to diverse age groups, ranging from infants to high school students Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families, colleagues, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing loss, utilizing individualized education plans (IEPs) Foster an environment that encourages communication, language development, and academic growth Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to adapt curriculum and ensure accessibility Support families by offering strategies and resources for reinforcing language and listening skills at home Monitor progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with educational standards Contribute to team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development related to deaf education This assignment offers a consistent schedule of 30-35 hours per week, allowing you to create meaningful connections and make a lasting impact.
