We are currently hiring for special education substitute teachers for the 2026-27 school year, and you can start the interview process right away! You'll earn: Up to $145/day paid weekly Up to $117 per day for High School/GED, 48+ college credits, and Associate's degree substitute teachers Up to $145 per day for Bachelor's and Master's/Professional (MBA, JD, M. Ed, etc) degree substitute teachers Paid via W-2, meaning no year-end tax headaches What makes Kokua different: You set the schedule

  • help kids learn from your unique experiences You're a great fit if you: Have at least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.) Supporting students in a special education setting is preferred Completed 48+ college credit hours Feel confident managing a classroom of students Are willing to step in where needed
