As a Special Education Teacher, you'll work at a welcoming campus, teaching and guiding a caseload of up to 10 students in a self-contained class for grades 6-8 with mild to moderate needs. You'll have the daily support of 1-2 dedicated paraprofessionals and access to an RBT for additional assistance, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current Special Education (SPED) certification for grades 4-8; EC-6th considered for exceptional candidates Experience or strong interest in working with middle school students in self-contained or moderate needs settings An understanding of IEP development, student progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction Ability to foster a supportive atmosphere for students with diverse backgrounds and learning requirements Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals, behavior specialists, and families
