In person Position Overview Viron International is looking for an experienced SST Welding Shop Supervisor to join our stainless steel welding t eam in Temple, Texas.



This is a hands-on working supervisor position . The person in this role will weld alongside the team while also helping manage the daily flow of work, priorities, quality, safety and productivity in the welding area.



Especially while the team is being fully staffed, this Supervisor should expect to spend a significant portion of the day actively TIG welding and fabricating , not simply overseeing others.



We are looking for someone who is a strong welder first, but who also has the leadership skills and reliability needed to keep a manufacturing team organized and productive. What You Will DoHands-On Welding & Fabrication

  • Perform TIG welding as part of the regular production workload Weld and fabricate stainless steel components Cut, form, grind, drill, fit and fabricate sheet metal components and ductwork Use shop equipment and hand tools including grinders, saws, drills, plasma torches, shears, brakes, rollers and other fabrication equipment Read measurements, work instructions and basic blueprints Inspect completed welding and fabrication work for quality Team & Production Leadership While working alongside the team, the Supervisor will also•Keep an eye on the overall workflow of the welding area Assign and prioritize work based on production needs and help ensure jobs move through the department efficiently Identify bottlenecks or production problems and help resolve them Provide hands-on guidance and technical support to welders Train and coach less experienced employees Maintain an organized, safe and productive work area What We Are Looking For•Strong hands-on TIG welding experience Experience welding and fabricating stainless steel strongly preferred 2-3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Comfortable being both a welder and a leader Ability to read a tape measure, blueprints and use measuring tools accurately Comfortable coaching employees and addressing performance issues when necessary Physical & Work Environment Requirements This is an active shop-floor role in a manufacturing environment.

The position requires the ability to

  • Stand, walk and work throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods Perform welding and fabrication work throughout the shift Lift up to 50 lbs.

as needed Work around welding and fabrication equipment and varying temperatures Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Pay & BenefitsSalary:

$70,000

  • 80,000 per year , based on experience.

You should be proficient in:

Blueprint Reading GTAW sheet metal stainless steel TIG Machines & technologies you'll use: TIG Welder
