Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Washington Special Education (SPED) License and Certification required Willingness to obtain or verify fingerprint clearance through OSPI Previous experience with elementary caseloads and resource classroom (LRC) settings highly desirable Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Commitment to individualized, student-centered instruction
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to students with a range of abilities in the LRC1 resource classroom Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the support team Maintain effective classroom management and positive learning environments Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administrators to ensure coordinated care Uphold district and state standards for compliance, safety, and best practices
