This role involves delivering individualized instruction and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere, working from August 18, 2026, to June 10, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher certification (License #2801) required Experience supporting students with autism Knowledge of strategies for addressing multiple mild-to-moderate disabilities in one classroom, including learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and intellectual disabilities Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Commitment to educational equity and inclusive education practices

Responsibilities:

Deliver cross-categorical instruction to high school students, meeting varied academic and behavioral needs Adapt curricula and teaching methods to individual learning styles and IEP goals Create an engaging, positive, and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with general education staff, counselors, and support personnel to ensure student success Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements Communicate progress regularly with parents, caregivers, and team members
