Founded in 1940, the district is comprised of four elementary schools and two middle schools.   • Possession of CPR and First Aid Certificates.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have completed (1) two years of study (minimum of 48 semester units) at an institution of higher education OR (2) possession of an associate's (or higher) degree OR (3) met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness).
Qualified applicants are directed to submit a classified application, a copy of equivalent of U.S. high school diploma or GED, proof of paraprofessional compliance, and a copy of current CPR/First Aid certification to the District Office at 1102 5th St., Wasco, CA 93280, email ClAcosta1@wuesd.org or fax to (661) 758-3050 by Monday, September 21, 2026 at 3:00pm.
