Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a paraprofessional facilitator in a dynamic school setting near Wetumpka, AL. You'll play a key role alongside virtual Speech-Language Pathologists, helping students prepare for their services and ensuring smooth delivery at multiple locations. Flexibility is essential, as needs may change throughout the day—when not assisting with virtual SLP sessions, you may help classroom teachers, fostering a collaborative environment and directly impacting students' educational experiences. This position runs from now through late May 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 onsite hours.
Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher OR successful completion of the WorkKeys test Prior experience working in a school environment Ability to adapt quickly and assist in both special service sessions and general classroom settings Eligibility to pass fingerprints and background checks
Primary Duties:
Support students as they transition to and from virtual SLP sessions Coordinate with virtual therapists to ensure timely, effective delivery of services Assist classroom teachers with daily activities, providing hands-on support where needed Foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning atmosphere for all students Work effectively across multiple assigned locations as needed Maintain clear records and uphold confidentiality standards Be part of a collaborative team that values adaptability and a student-centered approach.
