Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional - 2026-2027 School Year El Paseo Children's Center, Inc. - 3.0 Fontana, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time $22.00 - $27.50 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications School experience CPI Certification Experience working with individuals with disabilities Working with students Classroom Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary El Paseo Children's Center, Inc. is seeking Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals/Paraeducators to provide classroom support on an as-needed basis for the 2026-2027 school year . Substitute Paraeducators work under the supervision of a school site administrator and the direction of a credentialed teacher to support students receiving special education services. This is an on-call substitute position . Assignments may vary based on school site needs and are typically 6-7-hour shifts during regular school hours, Monday through Friday .

Fontana Unified School District Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional/Paraeducator include, but are not limited to: Providing instructional assistance to students individually or in small groups with mild to severe, and often multiple, physical, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, learning, and/or communication disabilities. Assisting students with personal care and physical support needs, including specialized care procedures when required. Supporting classroom instruction and helping maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment. Relieving the teacher of routine clerical duties and performing other related duties as assigned. Following lesson plans and teacher directions while adapting to a variety of classroom settings and student needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals with special needs, including learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, and behavioral disorders. Experience working with students with special needs in a school or clinical setting. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience and/or CPI training is preferred. Ability to be flexible, dependable, and adapt to different school sites and classroom environments.
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.50 per hour
