Job Description

Overview Thompson Academy is now hiring preschool assistant teachers! One full time position and one part time position is available. Our preschool is growing and we would love to find the right teachers to join our team! This is a rare opportunity as typically we stay fully staffed. Full-time position would be from 7:30-4:30 or 8-5 depending on our students drop off and pick up times and our part- time position would be afternoon hours from 12-5 sometimes 5:30pm. Serious long-term applicants only please. Duties Help with classroom setup, material preparation, and cleanup to ensure a smooth flow of daily activities Collaborate closely with teachers to monitor children's progress and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs. Diaper changing, bottle feeding, playtime on the floor. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's daily experiences and developmental milestones Requirements Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or educational settings is preferred Start DCF 45 hours online Become CPR/First Aid Certified Able to pass a level two background screening. Excellent communication skills to foster effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and team members Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining flexibility and adaptability in daily routines A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting the growth of young learners Join us in shaping the future by providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive! $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
