Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated closing teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting classroom activities, assisting lead teachers, and providing a nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years old. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development, experience working with children, and a strong understanding of educational best practices, including special education and behavior management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive learning environment while gaining valuable classroom experience in a supportive setting. Duties Close our center (12-6pm) Child arrival and departure with parents. Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to foster a safe and engaging environment. Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times for infants and toddlers, preschoolers and school age students. Support classroom organization. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional development, literacy skills, and early numeracy concepts. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth classroom operations and effective communication with parents. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development theories, including behavior management techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs, including autism spectrum disorder. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Background in early childhood education or related fields such as special education or literacy education is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating flexibility as a floater across multiple age groups. Compassionate attitude with excellent classroom management skills and patience when working with diverse learners.
