Job Description

Ware Public Schools is looking for qualified candidates interested in substituting as teachers and paraprofessionals to provide daily substitute coverage, as assigned on an as needed basis.

Essential Functions:

Reports to the office upon arrival at schoolProvides classroom supervision to ensure health, welfare, and safety of all studentsMaintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student and school personnel informationReviews all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching dayMaintains established routines and procedures of the school and classroom assignedTeaches the lessons outlined in the classroom teachers lesson plansPerforms other duties as assignedAbility to: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with students, teachers, and administrationUse classroom instructional time appropriately and wiselyEffectively apply school procedures and Student Handbook regulationsWork with children of varying abilities, including children with disabilities

COMPENSATION

Daily Teacher Substitutes:

$150-$200/day, commensurate with education

Daily Paraprofessional Substitutes:

$110/day
