Key Qualifications:

Must meet Minnesota's "Highly Qualified" paraprofessional requirements by either passing the MN Para Educator Exam or holding at least 60 college credits (transcripts required, not just a diploma). Demonstrated experience in school settings, particularly with students who have behavioral needs or require implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Physical ability and willingness to provide toileting or personal care support as needed. Flexible attitude and readiness to move between different schools or classrooms according to daily assignments. Reliable transportation to accommodate travel requirements within the district.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a floating substitute paraprofessional, covering staff absences across specific district crews (locations include Champlin, Coon Rapids, Blaine, Anoka, Andover, and a specialized learning center). Work both 1:1 with students and as a classroom aide, supporting special education teachers and students with diverse needs. Assist in creating a positive, structured environment and managing classroom behaviors. Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding availability and assignments. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to school protocols.
