In this contract role, youll work closely with students in a Setting 4 site, where all learners receive dedicated special education services throughout their school day. Spanning from elementary to high school age groups, this position requires a compassionate and resilient individual who is eager to assist students with significant behavioral and developmental needs.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 32.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent classroom and one-on-one support to students in special education, ensuring safety and engagement Assist with daily classroom routines, instructional activities, and behavior management Help students develop academic, social, and life skills by facilitating participation and fostering independence Aid with toileting and daily living tasks to support student dignity and well-being Collaborate with educators and support staff to create a nurturing, structured learning environment Adapt to flexible assignments within elementary through high school as required

Requirements:

Highly qualified paraprofessional status achieved by

EITHER:

Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam), OR Completion of at least 60 college credits (must submit official transcripts) Resume and documentation of high qualification status required for consideration Experience supporting students with significant behavioral/developmental challenges strongly preferred Willingness to assist with all aspects of student care, including toileting Comfortable working with a range of ages, or willing to specify age group preference Readiness to become a direct hire after initial contract hours This opportunity allows you to build lasting relationships with students while developing your own professional skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.
