Job Description

A Teacher's Aide supports teachers in delivering instruction by managing students, and maintaining a positive learning environment. They assist with academic, behavioral, and administrative tasks to help ensure students succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with physical care tasks and health related activities as appropriate; Assist students with behavioral/management needs; Assist with daily classroom setup/preparation as directed by the teacher; Help students navigate the school environment; Assist students in the use of assistive technology/instructional resources; Provide student testing accommodations/modifications; Review previous lessons and concepts previously taught by the teacher; Collect various student data as directed by the teacher (e.g. behavior intervention plans, IEP goals, classroom management system, etc.); Become familiar with the student(s) IEP; Communicate effectively with teacher and necessary staff members; Foster student independence.

Classroom management support Basic instructional support skills Organization and time management Empathy and student engagement Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills
