9679841-19446 Job Description Make a difference in the lives of students with special needs during the 26/27 school year by supporting their success in an all-special education environment. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate, dedicated paraprofessionals who thrive when working with higher-needs learners in a collaborative school setting. Work Monday through Friday and choose your area of expertiseelementary, middle school, high school, or possibly adult transition programsby specifying your preferred age group for caseload assignments.
Key Qualifications:
Experience working as a paraprofessional, especially within school settings Comfortable and confident supporting students with higher and diverse needs Must possess valid PA clearances to work in education settings Ability to commute onsite for interviews as well as daily work Flexibility, patience, and strong communication skills Open to working in a variety of classroom environments and grade levels Full-time availability throughout the 26/27 school year
Responsibilities:
Provide direct classroom support to special education teachers and assist students individually or in small groups Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Support students in academic, social, and self-care activities as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with staff to implement behavior and learning strategies Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all student interactions Demonstrate reliability and professionalism in all duties If you have a passion for helping students reach their fullest potential, are comfortable with the unique challenges of special education, and have the required credentials, your dedication will be truly valued in this role.
