Posting Text South Dakota State University's Facilities & Services Department is seeking a Financial Program Assistant to support essential financial and operational services across campus. This multifaceted rolebines accounts payable, purchasing, mail services, and warehouse support, making it an excellent opportunity for ananized and detail-oriented professional looking to make a campus-wide impact. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
This position performs all departmental routine accounts payable duties such as processing purchase order invoices, direct pays, standing contract and spot purchase invoices for payment. This process involves working with shop supervisors and project managers via work order management system for invoice reviews, approvals and payments; ensuring invoices are paid on correct funds and issued to correct work orders for tracking and billing. Handling any questionable invoices and contacting vendors about invoice details. This position will also handle returns, Banner/accounts payables reconciliation, and assist the Program Assistant II with purchasing for F&S according to state guidelines. Additional duties are to provide back-up support when needed for the Mail Center and Warehouse by assisting with shipping, receiving, processing outgoing/iing US & campus mail, and packages.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Learn quickly and utilize new software applications
Excellent customer service skills
