Job Description

Overview Cozy Bears Early Learning is seeking a reliable, caring, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our licensed home daycare team. In this role, you will lead engaging activities, support children's growth and development, and help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, demonstrates strong communication and leadership skills, and has prior experience working in childcare or preschool settings.
Responsibilities:
Lead teachers with daily activities, including playtime, learning activities, meals, and naps. Supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety and well-being. Help maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys, furniture, and play areas. Support children with individual needs, such as assisting with transitions or offering extra attention when needed. Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and families. Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding daily updates or concerns. Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students. Support lesson planning and education Health & Safety Requirements The following requirements will need to be obtained: ☐ TB Test ☐ CPR Certification ☐ First Aid Certification ☐ Food Handler's Permit ☐ Safe Sleep Training ☐ Bloodborne Pathogens Initial Training ☐ Child Care Basics Training We are committed to supporting new hires in completing these requirements to ensure a safe and high-quality environment for all children in our care. Qualifications Experience working in childcare, preschool, or an early learning environment is required. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
