Part-time position responsible for teaching classes in the Medical Assistant Program. Instructors must have three (3) years of current experience working as a certified Medical Assistant, experience teaching, and expert knowledge of all clinical, administrative, and medical aspects of the job.
Examples of courses are:
EKG, Venipuncture and Specimen Collection, Basic Patient Intake, Pharmacology, and other related medical skill classes. Instructors will be required to complete all class forms and documentation related to the course and all documentation required by the college. Location(s): Essex, Hunt Valley & Randallstown Pay rate for non-credit courses in Continuing Education are commensurate with education and experience qualifications. Minimum Requirements Current Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) or higher certification such as RN, LPN, or PMA required Three (3) years of full-time career experience as a Certified Medical Assistant. Must demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of the field. Experience with Online learning platforms and teaching experience preferred. Computer hardware and software proficiency. Class Specific Essential Duties Provides group, one-on-one and/or online instruction to students. Plans and prepares lessons in accordance with course objectives. Completes all required administrative documentation in a timely manner. Conducts office hours. Essential duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive.
