Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems. In some applications, support development of circuit card assemblies. Learn implementation of electrical wiring design practices. Support the testing and validation of electrical/electronic systems and components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met. Document technical designs, test procedures, and results. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback. Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of electrical/electronic circuits and systems.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field. Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles. Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools. Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Internship or project experience in electrical engineering. Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications. Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis. Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing. Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Essential Functions:
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods. Ability to travel as required. Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment. Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components. Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs. Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues. Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management. Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements. Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.
