Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Project Engineer to join a structural steel organization in Mesa, Arizona area. This individual will support the Project Management team by coordinating technical information among customers, design teams, detailers, subcontractors, fabrication shops, and field teams. The ideal candidate has experience with structural steel projects, can interpret design and shop drawings, and is comfortable managing multiple project deliverables.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Review design drawings and 3D BIM models for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate the resolution of discrepancies or missing information with customers, design teams, detailers, subcontractors, and field teams.
- Assist with project sequencing, detailing setup, advance bills, shop drawings, and erection drawings.
- Provide instructions and guidance to steel detailers based on project requirements and standards.
- Monitor project schedules for submittals, approvals, and shop fabrication releases.
- Identify and communicate potential delays or challenges to the Project Management team.
- Organize and manage formal and informal RFIs with engineers, architects, general contractors, and customers.
- Distribute and route drawings while coordinating with Document Control to maintain logs and prevent delays.
- Serve as a liaison among the shop, field teams, detailers, subcontractors, and Project Managers.
- Help resolve fabrication and erection issues.
- Coordinate the detailing efforts of multiple subcontractors.

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- 3+ years of experience supporting structural steel projects, including coordination, detailing, BIM, design, fabrication, or erection
- Working knowledge of structural steel practices, fabrication standards, and construction terminology
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to travel
- Associate's, technical, or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, CAD, BIM, Manufacturing, Architecture, or a related area
- Experience with Tekla, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, PowerFab/FabSuite, or Strumis
- Experience with AWS and AISC standards
- Experience coordinating structural steel detailing and resolving fabrication or erection issues
