Job Title:
Engineering Test Technician (Ground Systems) Job Description The Test Technician is responsible for building, assembling, and testing electro-mechanical prototypes. This role involves performing electrical checks and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Candidates should have hands-on experience in prototyping, basic programming in Python, CAD modeling, and fabrication techniques such as soldering and harnessing. Responsibilities Build and assemble electro-mechanical components at various design stages. Perform electrical checks on fully assembled prototypes to ensure functionality and safety. Diagnose hardware and software failures in collaboration with engineers. Write simple scripts in Python or C++ for testing or automation purposes. Create simple parts and fixtures using CAD software. Perform soldering, harnessing, and machine-shop operations. Record test results, analyze performance data, and maintain technical documentation. Essential Skills Proficient in electronics, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting. Experience with Python programming and ability to write simple test scripts. Knowledge of CAD modeling for creating parts and fixtures. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as soldering and harnessing. Familiarity with test equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with data analysis and documentation. Ability to use diagnostic tools effectively. Work Environment The work environment includes a casual dress code and a manufacturing shop setting. The position is for a morning shift with a start time between 7-9 AM. Enjoy catered lunches daily and numerous opportunities for overtime. This is a 6-month contract position with a strong reputation for converting high-performing consultants. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of South San Francisco, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
