Rancho Cordova, California job type: Contract salary: $68.42 - 73.42 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Develop protective relay settings and calculations (line, transformer, breaker, bus) using system modeling tools such as ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, or SKM alongside Mathcad and Excel.

Apply Protection & Control (P&C) design concepts and industry standards (including NERC-PRC and

IEC 61850

) across transmission, distribution, and renewable collector substations.

Lead small project assignments and proposal support, managing project schedules, budgets, level-of-effort engineering estimates, and staffing requirements.

Perform rigorous QA/QC reviews on P&C schematics, wiring diagrams, one-lines, three-lines, and relay setting files to ensure design accuracy and quality.

Collaborate with clients and technical teams while mentoring and developing early-career engineers to support continuous professional growth for Our Client.
