Design, engineer, coordinate, and support electrical systems for commercial and industrial construction projects from concept through completion. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Active Professional Engineer license in Virginia, or ability to obtain Virginia licensure by comity within six months. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical design and construction. Experience preparing electrical engineering calculations, system layouts, specifications, and construction documents. Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction processes and practices. Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD. Advanced proficiency with Revit. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related engineering software. Experience reviewing electrical designs for code compliance, constructability, and technical accuracy. Preferred Skills Experience serving as Engineer of Record. Experience signing and sealing electrical engineering documents. Experience supporting preconstruction and estimating activities. Experience developing scopes of work and equipment selections. Experience with value engineering. Experience providing technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. Job Responsibilities Plan, engineer, and design electrical systems for commercial and industrial facilities. Develop engineering calculations, system layouts, specifications, and construction documents. Coordinate electrical design activities with architects, engineers, vendors, and project teams. Support preconstruction and estimating efforts. Develop scopes of work, equipment selections, and technical documentation. Evaluate and develop value engineering alternatives. Provide technical support throughout design, construction, and project closeout. Review design documents for accuracy, constructability, quality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Support new construction and existing facility modification projects. Provide technical oversight for electrical design deliverables. Review and guide work produced by junior designers and engineers.
Pay:
