Job Description
Job Title:
Power Electronics Engineer Job Responsibilities + Design, redesign, and rework circuits and boards to improve product quality. + Investigate and analyze fallouts in electronic PCBs to identify defects or issues introduced during assembly, manufacturing, or design. + Conduct root cause analysis and root cause corrective actions to resolve identified problems and develop effective solutions. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product lifecycle management. + Perform board bring up for power electronics. Must-Have Skills + Experience designing power electronics at board/PCB level and doing board bring up + Experience troubleshooting PCB designs at board/PCB assembly level + Experience seeing a minimum of 3 products through their full lifecycle Additional Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the aerospace or aviation industry. + Exposure to DO-160 testing and an understanding of instrumentation issues and concerns. + Familiarity with PCB design using Altium and circuit simulation tools like PSPICE. + Experience with root cause analysis, root cause investigation, and/or root cause corrective action (RCCA). Work Environment This position requires you to work fully onsite in a large production warehouse. Engineers have office/cubicle-style spaces located upstairs, with an electronics lab on the same floor. The team has flexible hours, arriving between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM, with a requirement to work 8 hours daily. The work environment fosters long-term commitments, with many team members staying for years and opportunities to transition to direct employment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carson, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $100.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
