Head of Deployments Powertown - 1.0 Boston, MA Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Schedule management Project management software Managing projects Full Job Description Overview Own every Powerblock project from signed contract through completed deployment. You will be responsible for full project execution across permitting, engineering, installation, and commissioning. This is an inherently proactive role. You will embed in the details, originate new solutions, and improve our deployment process every week as Powertown moves from its first projects toward hundreds of installations across multiple states. The role includes the opportunity to become a long-term leader at Powertown, leading the deployment of many energy products across a number of states. Key responsibilities Construct and maintain our internal project management system to increasingly predict timeline and outcome for permitting, interconnection, installation, and commissioning Own the relationships with our engineering partners and contracting partners, ensuring they're delivering reliable results and timelines for our Powerblock installations Collaborate with the software team to make sure workflows are automated and internal tools compress our costs and bespokeness Work with the Head of Financial Product to question and refine the economics of every installation Must-have qualifications 2-6 years of field operations experience deploying products into the built environment, or experience developing energy projects across solar, storage, EV charging, microgrids, generators, or heat pumps Ability to construct a formidable project management system to manage hundreds of deployments a year. Ideally, experience using or building a platform like this in the past Past experience working with contractors, engineers, and customers to deliver turnkey infrastructure outcomes A bias toward getting into the nitty-gritty and solving problems before they become delays Nice-to-have qualifications Experience with the anatomy of commercial and industrial buildings and their electrical systems Experience pulling planning, building, utility, or electrical permits Working across a range of real-world infrastructure or energy assets
