Sr. Technical Program Manager, Amazon Music Technology
Job Description
- Owning and curating Amazon Music's behavioral data model, serving as the central steward for how core data concepts are defined and represented across the business
- Standardizing key data concepts across teams, driving alignment between data producers and consumers so that shared concepts are defined consistently and unambiguously
- Consulting on the design of high-quality instrumentation specifications for new products and features
- Simplifying the event model to make it more intuitive, reducing complexity and redundancy so teams can find and trust the data they need
- Evolving the event model with the business, partnering with data producers and consumers to enhance and grow coverage as new products, features, and use cases emerge
- Building GenAI tooling to automate the curation of the event model, including improved attribution, automated validation, automated instrumentation specification generation, and reduced manual overhead in maintaining the model
- Leading cross-org programs with central Amazon teams, including driving technical alignment and program execution with teams outside of Music (e.g., AWS, Devices, Stores), navigating ambiguity where business and architectural strategies are not clearly defined, and building consensus across organizations with competing priorities
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, business analysts, and senior leadership, to align on priorities and drive program execution
- Writing effective narratives and presenting program updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Proactively identifying risks and removing blockers to keep programs on track
- Defining and managing program roadmaps, milestones, and goals in partnership with engineering and product stakeholders
- Identifying strategic opportunities for the Metrics and Data Platform team to expand its impact and influence across Amazon Music as part of annual planning About the team Amazon Music is an immersive audio entertainment service that deepens connections between fans, artists, and creators.

//www.amazon.com/music. Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Excellence in verbal and written communication with peers and senior leaders
- Experience managing large, complex, cross-functional programs from concept to launch
- Experience driving technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience identifying and mitigating program risks and removing execution blockers
- Experience with iterative, agile development methodologies
- Experience with data modeling or feature/product instrumentation
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, EMR, Redshift, S3, Airflow, or Kinesis
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Redshift, Kinesis, SQS, SNS)
- Experience with data quality frameworks, data modeling concepts, or ETL workflows
- Experience leveraging GenAI tools or initiatives to improve operational efficiency or program delivery

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
