Join America's first, foremost, and finest and take your career to new heights. Role Purpose Statement We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Clerk to join our Safety team. This is a field-based position responsible for monitoring driver compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and partnering with operational departments to ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards. The Safety Clerk will also play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment by conducting safety observations, monitoring employee compliance, documenting safety concerns, and supporting ongoing safety initiatives within the facility. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of building strong working relationships with employees and leaders while promoting a positive safety culture.

2:30 PM to 11:00
PM Days Off:
Sunday and Monday Main Accountabilities
  • Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
  • Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
  • Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID's for trucks are current
  • Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
  • Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
  • 3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
