Overview Join our dynamic team as a Lead Mitigation Technician and take charge of restoring properties affected by water, fire, mold, and other disasters. In this energetic role, you will lead mitigation projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help clients recover quickly and confidently, making a tangible difference in their lives during challenging times. This position offers on-call coverage and requires a proactive approach to emergency response readiness, safety protocol adherence, and team leadership. Duties Lead mitigation projects involving water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and flood recovery with enthusiasm and precision. Supervise and coordinate mitigation crews to ensure efficient completion of cleaning, construction, and restoration tasks using hand tools, Xactimate estimating software, and specialized equipment. Ensure all team members utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection correctly to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct thorough assessments of affected properties to determine scope of work and develop detailed action plans aligned with industry standards. Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site travel to disaster sites while maintaining safety protocols. Require on-call coverage to respond promptly to emergency situations at any hour, demonstrating flexibility and commitment. Communicate clearly with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members to provide updates and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the mitigation process. Qualifications Proven experience in the restoration industry with a focus on water damage restoration, fire damage repair, mold remediation, or flood recovery. Strong construction background with familiarity in using hand tools and carpet cleaning equipment. Knowledge of Xactimate estimating software is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols rigorously, including PPE use and respiratory protection measures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively during stressful situations. Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly in various environments. Prior experience with asbestos abatement or mold remediation is a plus but not required; training will be provided as needed. Physical stamina to perform demanding mitigation tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces. IICRC certifications recommended but not required.
