Travel:
5-10% as needed We are looking for a Senior Facilities Engineer to support major sterilization infrastructure projects at a medical device manufacturing campus. This role will serve as an Owner's Representative Engineer , working across facility mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems and supporting projects from design through commissioning . Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and oversee facility infrastructure modifications, maintenance, and installations Support major sterilization infrastructure projects Review facility/equipment requirements, specifications, regulations, schedules, and construction feasibility Work with architecture and engineering firms on design criteria, layouts, and detailed drawings Prepare bid documents and support construction/facility contracts Review project costs for equipment, installation, labor, and materials Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning activities Ensure projects meet drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and schedules Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and external engineering partners Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree + 4+ years of relevant facilities engineering experience OR Master's degree + 2+ years of relevant experience Experience with facility mechanical infrastructure, electrical infrastructure, and Building Automation Systems (BAS)Preferred Experience HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems Cleanroom design/build experience Chiller plants and compressed air systems Facility commissioning Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics Integrated building systems including: Temperature controls Critical environment monitoring Power management and alarming Zoned lighting controls Facility access control Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience Ideal Candidate We are looking for a hands-on senior facilities professional who can independently manage complex infrastructure projects, work effectively with engineering firms and contractors, solve difficult facility challenges, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Experience in medical device, cleanroom, sterilization, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly valuable.
