Job Overview The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in bridging engineering and production by developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes for complex prototype and low-volume production programs. This individual will work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to translate design intent into executable manufacturing plans. The role is highly cross-functional and requires strong technical communication, organizational skills, and hands-on manufacturing knowledge. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where programs move quickly from concept through fabrication and assembly. This role will support strategic programs across automotive, aerospace, mobility, and advanced manufacturing applications.. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain manufacturing build processes, work instructions, travelers, and production documentation. Serve as a technical liaison between design engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and efficient execution. Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs, assemblies, and fabrication requirements during product development. Support prototype and low-volume production builds by identifying process improvements and resolving manufacturing issues. Coordinate with project management, fabrication, assembly, and quality teams to support program execution and schedule adherence. Create and improve manufacturing workflows, process standards, and documentation systems. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback related to manufacturability, assembly sequencing, tooling, and production efficiency. Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for manufacturing or assembly challenges. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and repeatability. Interface with suppliers and external manufacturing partners as needed.
