Job Description

Assembly Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting production operations, developing manufacturing process controls, and improving assembly methods, tooling, layouts, quality, and efficiency. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline. Experience in industrial, reliability, design, manufacturing, or quality engineering. Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations in a production environment. Experience using engineering tools, systems, and databases. Experience with SAP. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Experience developing manufacturing process controls. Ability to work in a shop floor environment for the majority of the shift. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Ability to support production schedules until daily production requirements are met. Preferred Skills Experience developing Sequence of Events (SOE), labor standards, and Operator Methods Sheets (OMS). Experience with work center and production line layouts. Experience with assembly fixturing. Experience with torque tools and smart tooling systems such as Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, or Panasonic. Experience working in a union manufacturing environment. Experience using MES platforms for process control. Experience with CVML, digital manufacturing tools, or process automation. Experience with line and process design. Experience with material presentation and workstation design. Experience analyzing production cycle imbalance. Experience with visual management tools. Job Responsibilities Provide manufacturing engineering support and troubleshooting for assembly operations. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects related to safety, ergonomics, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Develop and maintain Sequence of Events for production operations. Design and update work center and production line layouts. Develop and implement torque tooling and assembly fixturing. Create and maintain Operator Methods Sheets and related shop floor documentation. Use SAP and MES platforms to perform manufacturing engineering functions. Develop and maintain manufacturing process controls. Support production line troubleshooting and resolution of assembly issues. Evaluate manufacturing methods, tooling, material presentation, and workflow for process improvements. Support implementation of smart tooling, digital manufacturing technologies, and automation. Analyze production cycles and process balance to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain engineering and production documentation associated with process changes.
Pay:
