Job Description The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI, Remington and Speer. We have domestic ammunition manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Idaho, Arkansas, and Missouri, and service law enforcement, government agencies and sporting enthusiasts throughout the world. Today, The Kinetic Group is a part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which holds a diverse portfolio of companies in the defense, security, automotive, aerospace and rail industries. As the Electrician Technician you will have the opportunity to assist or independently maintain, and trouble-shoot the electrical systems of the plants that provide power for machines, equipment, lighting and facilities in the most efficient manner. Support electrical/electronic systems providing improved machine operations, product quality, and overall plant performance . This position reports to the Operations Manager and is based out of our Anoka Location.
Shift:
7:00pm-7:00am Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Thursday plus overtime as needed (training may take place on another shift) Experience you bring: Registered unlicensed electrician or able to achieve within 30 days Knowledgeable in PLC and Schematic reading Experience in industrial, or manufacturing electrical environment 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, preferable in a manufacturing environment Good verbal and written communication skill Experience and ability to work independently under minimal supervision, a self-starter Resume provided with application documenting how minimum and additional qualifications are met Willingness to work with others, and open new ideas or techniques You might have: 2-year degree/diploma in controls, electrical, electronics, electro-mechanical program or related program Personal computer and mainframe interaction skills Journeyman or Master Electrical License Knowledge of Allen Bradley Products (Servo, PLC, VFD, HMI) Knowledge in 3 Phase Knowledge of NEC and UL508A Demonstrated 2+ years' experience in the design, implementation
AND REPAIR
of electrical control, control systems, PLC's and electronics What you'll do: Trouble-shoots and repairs manufacturing equipment Repairs or rebuilds motors, control systems or other equipment as necessary. Maintains shop equipment and working areas in a clean and orderly condition. Functions as an electrical/electronic resource and works to improve the knowledge of others as appropriate. Participates and supports continuous improvement efforts. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills. Observes all applicable safety rules and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to supervisors.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds with occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of weights up to 50 pounds. Walk, Stand, Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling required. Must have normal depth perception capability due to operation of maintenance cart.
Mental Requirements:
Majority of the time is spent identifying the problems that need repair by listening and talking with other associates. Reading and attention to detail required. Must be flexible and have the ability to cope with stress from multiple job assignments and deadlines, as well as constant interruptions from the telephone and pager.
Equipment Used:
Operation of maintenance cart, computer, cell phone, pager.
Working Environment:
Incumbent subject to fumes, dirt, dust, mist and gases when in plant. Regular production floor work causes exposure to mechanical/electrical equipment hazards. Approximately 90% of the time spent work with or around others.
Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range:
$35.25 - $49.30 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
