Job Description

Make a difference each day serving students with unique needs in a dynamic, supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate Special Education Teachers looking to apply their expertise across multiple age groups in dedicated special programs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota teaching credential in
Special Education:
Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4). Previous experience working with resource and RISE programs preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset for working with students, staff, and families. Ability to adapt instruction and materials for diverse learning needs. Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored instruction, intervention, and support for students in special programs at various age levels. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams. Manage classrooms and caseloads in alignment with school and district expectations. Apply evidence-based strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth. Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and needs. Participate in professional development and school initiatives as required.
Details:
Eight positions available, serving different grade levels. Three roles specifically at Sanburg Middle School (two resource, one RISE). On-site only; virtual instruction is not an option.
Contract dates:
August 24, 2026 May 28, 2027. Full-time; 35 hours per week. Ready to have a meaningful influence on students learning journeys?
