Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking Junior Civil Engineers with 0-5 years experience to join our Team. We have offices in Suffolk and Nassau Counties. As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of various civil engineering projects in a broad range of engineering disciplines including Highway and Drainage; Coastal & Marine Design; Site Design; Hydrologic and Hydraulic Studies, Construction Inspection and Environmental Permitting. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain experience in a wide array of engineering disciplines while working on local municipal and private projects. Duties Assist in the design and permitting of highway, drainage and coastal and marine engineering projects, Preparing plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility and identify potential issues Utilizing Engineering Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software to develop complex drainage solutions Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on project plans and timelines Perform construction cost estimating, Assist in the coordination of construction activities, including reviewing contractor submittals and conducting site visits Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices Proficiency in software such AutoCAD and/or HEC-RAS
