Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturer in the industrial sector to identify a Senior Design Engineer to join their growing team. This opening is the result of internal promotions and continued business expansion. This role is focused on product engineering and iterative design improvements rather than ground-up new product R&D. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and experience working with appliance or HVAC-related systems. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the design and development of new and improved product components and systems Drive product iteration efforts, focusing on performance, cost, and manufacturability improvements Coordinate and oversee validation, verification, and testing activities Support product launch initiatives, ensuring smooth transition from design to production Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing and quality teams in a high-volume production environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required) Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and combustion Experience with appliance, HVAC, or similar thermal systems preferred Experience with FMEA, test plans, and design validation Design for Manufacturability experience in high-volume environments Materials selection and component design experience Exposure to manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection molding, machining, casting) is a plus Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $90,000
