NEBCO is looking for an individual with knowledge and experience with quality assurance and quality control to join our General Testing Lab team. Position Summary Provides quality assurance inspection and measurement of concrete pipe & precast concrete products manufactured or processed by Concrete Industries to ensure compliance with contract specifications by reviewing and monitoring the work of others. Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs scheduled product inspections, performance testing, standards compliance, and reporting on pipe and precast concrete products. Inspects all reinforcing, connection, and handling hardware to assure conformance to the design documents. Monitors and maintains a documented quality control & quality assurance reporting system of the manufacturing process that assures specifications are met. Assure test equipment meets industry calibration standards. Inspects in-process products for special requirements and applications specified by engineering. Reviews and approve the finished quality for concrete pipe and precast concrete products. Evaluates defective production to determine cause of defect and recommend changes or modifications. Monitors the repair procedures as instructed by the Engineering department. Participates with the audit improvement team to direct quality projects to reduce non-conformance. Compiles and generates spreadsheets regarding inspection and testing results by using computers and applicable programs and software to assure accuracy of the reports produced. Requires reporting of all the listed inspections for the job. Education and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; and experience in a related field; or An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid NE Drivers' license. ACI (American Concrete Institute) Concrete Field Testing Grade I. If applicant does not have the certifications, must have a past demonstrated ability to be trained at this level and be able to complete training and certification process within one year of employment.
Skills and Abilities:
Must have demonstrated skills which reflect self-motivation and excellent attention to detail. Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and self-manage inspections daily. Must be able to respond to emergency operations. Work hours are normal day hours but may vary based on the project. Must have experience with proper use of inspection, measuring and test equipment, including and understanding of proper procedure and calibration. Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays. Must be able to function without direct supervision. Must also be able to work effectively in a team environment. Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment.
