BP Aero Irving, Texas, USA Position Type:
Permanent Full Time Hourly Direct Job Description:
NDT Technician The Level I Technicians will be performing calibrations, Non-destructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
Shift Hours of work:
2nd shift (3:30PM to 11:30PM). Will accept applications for 1st shift, but ideal candidate will be for night shift. Duties Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Organize and report test results. May instruct and supervise others. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Minimum
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience NDT Level II Qualification in PT is required. NDT Level I or II Qualification in MT is a strong plus. NDT Level I Qualification UT, ET Qualification is a plus. High School Diploma, or equivalent. FAA Airframe Certification a plus. Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently. Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections. Specific Skills Strong work ethic.
