$42.31 per Hour Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite Are you an experienced Product Engineer with a background in automotive body closures and side door assemblies? Join a dynamic engineering team supporting vehicle development, validation, and production for high-profile automotive programs. This opportunity offers hands-on involvement in product design, problem solving, and cross-functional engineering collaboration. Job Duties Support development of side door structures, hinges, check arms, and related closure components Manage product lifecycle activities including design, BOM management, supplier coordination, prototype builds, testing, and production support Perform root cause analysis and issue resolution using Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies Review and interpret CAE reports, durability studies, and validation testing results Maintain engineering releases and bill of materials (BOM) accuracy throughout program milestones Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and engineering teams Support design reviews, change management activities, and production launches Drive solutions for product quality, manufacturing, and assembly concerns Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 2+ years of experience with body closures, side door assemblies, hinges, door structures, or related automotive systems Proficiency with CATIA, Teamcenter, 3D modeling software, and Microsoft Office Experience with BOM management, product validation, manufacturing processes, and engineering releases Strong knowledge of mechanics of materials, steel and aluminum properties, statics, and dynamics Understanding of Six Sigma, FMEA, root cause analysis, and problem-solving tools Preferred Qualifications Experience with liftgates, tailgates, movable glass, moonroofs, or sealing systems Project management and leadership experience Knowledge of 3D printing technologies Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance Apply Now If you're ready to contribute to innovative automotive engineering projects and make an immediate impact on vehicle development and production, submit your application today.
