LandSurvey Required Qualifications Vocational/Educational Requirement:
To be evaluated for the Assistant City Surveyor job classification, applicants shall possess the qualifications outlined in (1) or (2) below: 1) Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in land surveying, engineering, or a closely related field. 2) Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in any field accompanied by a minimum of two years of related land surveying experience.Experience:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this job class requires a minimum of four years of related experience.Special Certifications and Licenses:
Requires a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards. Requires Commonwealth of Virginia designation as a Surveyor in training (SIT) or the ability to obtain the Virginia SIT license within one year of hire. Commonwealth of Virginia licensure as a Land Surveyor is preferred within one year of hire.
