Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is currently searching for a qualified full-time Survey Field Technician in our Staunton, VA office. This position will work with a survey crew chief in the field, collecting data to support design activities, boundary surveying, and providing sketches and layouts to support construction activities. Requirements
Discharge duties as requested by Crew Chief
Perform field work for land surveying scopes of work including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography for various project types
Organize survey truck, survey equipment and survey supplies as necessary
Operate GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors
Transfer files between data collectors and internal company project folders
Maintain productive working relationships with clients and coworkers
Adhere to the company's Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies
Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism. Physical Requirements Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural, or urban surroundings
Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances
Ability to work in outdoor conditions subject to weather, insects, and changing environments
