Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Medication Aide, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, safe, and efficient medication management and resident care. Responsibilities Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all state healthcare regulations and facility policies. Monitor residents' vital signs and assess their responses to medications and treatments. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medication records, health charts, and electronic health records QuickMAR. Assist residents with personal care activities including hygiene, mobility, and daily living tasks while respecting their privacy and dignity. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition, especially those related to dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care needs. Follow infection control protocols such as HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive resident care. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Medication Aide (RMA) or equivalent license as mandated by the State Board of Nursing. Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care practices including Alzheimer's and dementia care. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner and electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and tube feeding assistance safely. Current CPR and First Aid certifications; additional certifications in hospice care or medical office procedures are a plus. Strong caregiving skills with excellent communication abilities tailored to working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and compliance standards including HIPAA guidelines for maintaining patient confidentiality.
